THE SECRET OF GETTING AHEAD IS GETTING STARTED.
I was first introduced to Body Rock by one of my best friends who was prepping for a WBFF competition. After a couple weeks of trying to convince me to go – I agreed. I was definitely a little nervous and felt overwhelmed by everyone who already knew what they were doing. I knew my upper body was weak but cardio wise and leg strength I figured ” I’ll be fine – I’m a runner! ” Man oh man was I wrong! That first class kicked my butt! I was sore for 4 days! I knew then that if this was so tough for me – it’s exactly what I need- and what I’ve been lacking in my training! Second class also kicked my butt. And my first booty camp – had to explain to family why I was walking funny. But slowly I got stronger, fitter, and faster. After 6 months I ran my next half marathon 10 minutes faster than the year before! Needless to say I am hooked and am very grateful for these amazing ladies. Now I am preparing for another half PR and my first full marathon this fall – I’m on my own for logging miles, but I know that Nicole and Kayla have my “booty” (and legs) covered!
